HIL Scholarship Program

We believe language builds bridges, and education should be a gift to everyone. That’s why our Scholarship Program provides places in our English courses for Asylum Seekers displaced from their home countries seeking protection from persecution and human rights violations.

In the UK, Asylum Seekers do not have ready access to quality English language tuition. That’s why a group of qualified English teachers began meeting to teach local Asylum Seekers in a living room in Liverpool, and as HIL Liverpool we continue to welcome Asylum Seekers into our classrooms today, free of charge. We treat all our students the same, whether they’re studying on a Scholarship or funding their studies themselves.

Ahmad's Story

Here is a short video of our student, Ahmad, telling us about his journey with HIL after coming to the UK.

We believe businesses can be a powerful agent for good in our world. Join our Sponsorship Program to fund places for more Asylum Seekers to experience quality language tuition to help them unlock their potential to live, work and thrive in English speaking communities.
